Another Sweet Award

I have to say, I get a little embarrassed posting about winning an award...knowing that my little blog makes a difference in the lives of others is truly humbling and an award of its own. But truly I do have a hard time accepting praise, because honestly, I am just a vessel. God gives me the talent and inspiration and even the timing. But I do love sharing with others what He has shared with me.

My new friend, Tonggu Momma from Our Little Tongginator gave me the E for Blogging Excellence Award. Thank you, TM. I am truly honored. Your site is such a fun read.

Asa side note, isn't it wonderful that blogging is a genuine catalyst for friendship? I now know several women who I have never met in person, yet I consider them friends. After all, I share my heart with them and they share their's with me. I pray for them and sometimes with them via e-mail. When I first started this blog I was told that it was possible that it may open a few doors for me, but I never would have guessed that it would open the door to many friendships. What a blessing you all are to this woman on a journey.

The E award is one I can pass on to others. Ohhh, what a task to narrow it down. Drum Roll please...the E award from Becoming Me goes to....

Lisa Writes - Lisa is an amazing writer and has given me much encouragement since I started this blog in February. In addition to be well-written, her blog posts are always real, from her heart and sprinkled with wit.
Linda at Spilt Milk - Linda's blog always make me laugh and think. She's a great writer with a book in the works.

Holy Mama
- Kelsey Kilgore is a successful author who doesn't need an award from little ol' me, but I couldn't resist. Her blog usually leaves me in stitches...and I didn't even mean that pun...and if you read her post about all the BYOOD, you'll understand the pun reference.

And finally, here is to another successful author whose writing talents far surpass mine...

Surviving Motherhood - The funny and insightful blog of author Karen Hossink who wrote the book Confessions of an Irritable Mother. I have honestly heard a few women refer to her book as life-changing, which is why it is on my must read list...as soon as I get a book budget it's going on my shelf.

Please check these fantastic blogs. You will be blessed.

Wow, thanks, my friend. I am honored to receive this distinction from one who is so deserving in her own right! And to be included in such company as real, live published authors--how cool is that? Thanks for your kind words; right back at you!

You really do deserve this! I am so drawn to your blog. One of the reasons is that your writing style is very much what I aspire to. :) I would love to sit down at a coffee shop with you and get some writing advice and just learn from you! :) I am just starting out, but feel such an internal energizing, life giving, emotional reaction when I write. It sounds kind of strange, even to me, :) But I think you'll get it.

Congratulations on your award!:)
And you're right when you say blogging is a genuine catalyst for friendship....I have been constantly amazed through my very short time of blogging at all of the talented, funny, Christian women that are out there. It has been such a blessing to me to meet so many of them in this blogging world.

God Bless,
Amy:)

I agree with you about making "blog friends". Not only that, but I learn so much from people that I would never have had the honor to meet in my small world!

Congrats!

Your blog is beautiful, and I always enjoy my visits! Definitely excellento! (that's said with a spanish accent if you couldn't tell from the strange spelling. what? no, i'm not Hispanic, definitely a paleface, in fact, the only spanish I know is si, senor. said with a spanish accent, of course.) I think I'm up past my bedtime...Anyway, I definitely agree with your thoughts on how amazing bloggy friendships are! I think there is such intimacy in sharing our thoughts in written form and that brings us closer, faster. I envy you, that you have been able to meet some of your bloggy friends. I do hope I have that opportunity some day! Time to hit the hay!
