Blog Mission Tour Information

I'm gearing up for the Blog Mission Tour that is starting right here on Sunday! If you do not think you can have your mission statements ready by Sunday, have no fear. The tour lasts all week.

What is the Purpose of the Blog Mission Tour?
I started this tour for several reasons.
1) As a way to encourage other bloggers
2) To meet other bloggers with similar purposes
3) To learn from other bloggers

Do you have an example of a mission statement?
I'll be honing mine for the tour, but here is a draft.

Your example is wordy, do all the mission statements need to be that long?
No. Your mission statement can be as long or as short as you would like it to be. In fact if it is too long, people are less likely to read and remember it.

How about a bullet type list?
That is fine by me. This is not a writing competition.

My Blog is all About Cupcakes, can I still participate?
Sure. Tell us about why you blog about cupcakes.

Does anything go?
Not quite. I reserve the right to delete any posts that contain profanity and content of a vulgar, hateful or harmful nature.

Can I invite my friends to participate?
YES! I would love to have 100 blogs sign up. Wouldn't that be so fun?

Will There Be Prizes ?
Yes I will have prizes. Everyone who participates and leaves a comment on Sunday's (July 13) post is eligible. I will have three prizes, but you'll have to let me know if you want to be eligible to win all of them. You'll understand why in just a few minutes.

Prize 1) a $10 gift card to one of the following: Starbucks, Target, Sonic, or Payless

Prize 2) A choice between a guest post from me or me reviewing something you wrote
Let me make it very clear that prize two is only if you want it. I even hesitate to offer it because it seems so haughty of me...but finances are tight and as far as providing a homemade prize? Well, I don't craft or sew. My man talents lie in the fields of planning parties and writing. So, I'm offering what I've got and I promise not to be offended if none of you sign up for it. Honest...I just didn't want to have a mission tour without prizes.

Prize 3) Blog of the Month for August

All that written, everyone will be eligible for the gift card and if you would like to be entered for the other prizes, just let me know in your comments on the 13th.

Can I Give Away a Prize on my Blog?
Sure! But, please know that I will only be responsible for issuing the prizes offered from Becoming Me.

If I sign up on the Mr. Linky but don't write a post about my mission, will you delete my link?
It hurts me to write this, but yes.

Do I use the your Mr. Linky before or after I write my post?
After.

Any other rules for linking?
Yes. Because this is a week long tour/party, please link to your exact post or keep your mission post at the very top of your blog. If you do not so this, people will have a hard time finding your statement.

I'm a guy. Your button is feminine. Do I have to use it?
No one is required to use the Blog Mission Tour Button. I'd love it if you would use it, but if you choose not to, no worries. You do need to link to my Becoming Me somewhere in your post.
