Chin Up, Hands Clasped

Just a quick note to thank all of you who have taken the time to pray for me and leave encouraging comments. My spirit was lifted tremendously during the past two days.

God is so good. Always.

It truly makes my heart sad knowing that so many in the world think the body of Christ to be malicious, hard-hearted, and self-righteous because of the reputation of a few who live on the fringe. Reality is that there is so much love in the hearts of those who truly love and follow Jesus. It's a love put there by Christ alone...and a love I've felt many times...especially this week.

I think out of the 50 plus comments my "Derailed and Weary" post received, only 5 were from friends I have actually had the privilege of meeting face to face.

The old saying is that "blood is thicker than water." Traditionally, it means that the bonds we have with our family members are stronger than we could ever have with others who do not share our DNA. I interpret that saying a little differently. To me it includes my brothers and sisters in Christ...because it is the blood of Jesus that covers us and weaves us together; and there is nothing thicker...stronger...more powerful than the blood of our Savior.

Again, thank you. I will write more when I'm not quite so exhausted (for those of you who suggested that my Thyroid issues and some depression from moving may be at the root of my recent state of melancholy...you are correct).

I have had some very precious quiet times with God this week and have been immeasurably blessed by some new friends as well as all of you...so please believe me when I say I am well...just very, very tired.

With much love and a yawn,

Angela

Rest easy in HIS LOVE and all will be given to you...
That means the energy and strength required to get on with things...
We often forget and try to do it in our own strength and that will leave us worn out!
Take Care...and breathe alittle.

Although I did not leave a comment the other day, I wanted you to know that I did pray for you. The prayers I have received from my Christian bloggy friends during all of the issues I have been dealing with over the last few months has been so encouraging, so I always want to do the same for others. I am so thankful that your spirits were lifted.

And you are right...God is so good. Always.:)

God bless you,
Amy:)

So glad you posted! I was thinking about you today...wodering if I should e-mail you or wait patiently for you to post again. If you hadn't posted, I would have had to bother you! :)

So glad you are safe in the more than capable hands of the Father!
Love and prayers,
K :)

So glad to hear you are feeling better. I am with Madi 24/7 so I have those days a lot and know how it feels.
Here's a poem a blogger friend of mine has on her site, it always makes me feel better. You ever need to talk or blow off steam just let me know.

"Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
For babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow
So quiet down cobwebs,
Dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep."

Angela, I just read thru your backposts. I felt like I was reading my own journal. Honestly. There isn't a category for Female David's in this world, so we just have to make our own. ;)

Through your transparency, many others will find the freedom you have in Christ, to struggle, to weep, to rest and to share your pain.

I'll begin praying for you today, Sister.

Feel better and rest! It's okay to be YOU. Tired and out of sorts. God can handle you just as you are.

I pray you continue to be comforted as you find your strength again. And I know you will.

God bless,
Tiffany
